Pope Francis has a deep love and concern for the state of the family.  He has called an extraordinary synod on the family and sent out a survey on the challenges facing families around the world.  He is not just concerned about the external challenges facing the family, but is seeking to encourage families to achieve more than the status quo, to be truly joy filled families that are a light in the world.
